The Carrier 24ANB6 was Carrier’s Infinity series single-stage air conditioner with Puron (R-410A) refrigerant, sold on this site as the Infinity 16. It runs at one speed, works with an Infinity Control or a standard thermostat, and was offered in 1.5- to 5-ton sizes.

Carrier has not named a direct successor to the 24ANB6. The closest current model is the Carrier Performance 16 Air Conditioner (26SPA6): Carrier’s current single-stage Performance series model, with a compressor sound blanket. Carrier’s current Infinity tier has no single-stage air conditioner; the Performance 16 is Carrier’s current single-stage model with a comparable efficiency rating (up to 16.5 SEER2) in the same 1.5- to 5-ton range. The 26SPA6 uses Carrier’s current R-454B refrigerant (Puron Advance), the lower-global-warming-potential refrigerant in Carrier’s current residential line. R-454B cannot be added to an existing R-410A system, and an existing R-410A system does not need to be replaced because of its refrigerant.
