The Carrier 34SCA5 is Carrier’s Comfort Series horizontal air conditioner: a compact, single-stage outdoor unit that discharges air out the side rather than the top and is designed to be stackable. It uses Puron (R-410A) refrigerant.

Carrier’s own name for this unit is the Comfort Series Horizontal Air Conditioner, model 34SCA; this site previously listed it as the Comfort 15.

The specifications below are Carrier’s published figures for the 34SCA5 itself, not for any newer model. Carrier’s product data for this model reports SEER2 and EER2 only.

The 26SCA5 uses Carrier’s current R-454B refrigerant (Puron Advance), the lower-global-warming-potential refrigerant in Carrier’s current residential line.
