What You Get With the NHB-150H

• 95.0% AFUE condensing efficiency. AFUE is the heating-efficiency rating for boilers and furnaces; higher is better. The NHB-150H uses a second stainless steel heat exchanger to capture heat from the exhaust, which is why efficiency is this high and why it vents in PVC and needs a condensate drain. Both heat exchangers are stainless steel, the material that stands up to the acidic condensate a condensing boiler produces. It is ENERGY STAR certified per Navien.
• 15:1 turndown ratio. Turndown is how low the burner can modulate. The NHB-150H can run anywhere from 10,000 to 150,000 BTU/h, so on a mild fall day it idles at low fire instead of cycling on and off, which means steadier room temperatures and less wear.
• Built-in zoning. The control board runs the boiler pump plus up to three zone valves or three zone pumps, so a home split into heating zones can be controlled from the boiler itself.
• Compact, wall-hung cabinet. At 17.3 in. wide, 23.8 in. tall and 12.8 in. deep and 80 lbs, it hangs on the wall and frees the floor space a cast-iron boiler used to take.

Installation and Warranty

GSHA Services, LTD is a Navien Service Specialist (NSS), an authorized Navien dealer, and is listed on Navien’s installer locator at navieninc.com. Installations are performed by Navien Level 3 trained technicians. The standard installation scope above covers the boiler, near-boiler piping, venting, controls and start-up; the estimate confirms anything your home needs beyond it.

Navien limited warranty (residential, single-family): 1 year on labor and 5 years on parts. The heat exchanger is fully covered for 10 years. In years 11 through 15 coverage is pro-rated, with the homeowner paying a rising share of the heat exchanger cost (30% in year 11 up to 70% in year 15). Coverage runs from the installation date, so the homeowner or installer must provide proof of the installation date to Navien. Navien Technical Support must be contacted before warranty service, and units bought through internet or e-commerce channels are not covered.

GSHA Install-Right coverage: Navien NHB-H boiler packages installed by GSHA add 10-year parts and 10-year labor coverage from GSHA. Labor coverage requires annual GSHA maintenance, and service by another company voids GSHA’s labor coverage. This is GSHA’s own coverage and is separate from Navien’s limited warranty.

Is the NHB-150H the right size for my home?

Only a heat-loss calculation can answer that. The NHB-150H is the largest NHB-H size at 150,000 BTU/h input, so it suits larger homes or higher heating loads; smaller homes are usually better served by the NHB-55H, NHB-80H or NHB-110H. Because the NHB-150H modulates down to 10,000 BTU/h, it still runs efficiently on mild days, but an oversized boiler is never the goal.
